 2015 Ladder Standings

PLAYER NAME ELO

DETERMINING YOUR ELO
The ELO formula was developed by Arpad Elo in 1939 for the United States Chess Federation. Initially, players will be given an ELO of 1500 points. As they play each other, those players having higher ELOs will risk more points when playing players with lower ELOs.

HOW YOUR ELO IS MAINTAINED
Players can play any length match against each other at any time during the week. The winner has the responsibility to report the winner name, loser name, and match length.

HOW YOUR ELO IS COMPUTED
The player with the higher ELO will lose more points or win fewer points when pitted against a player with a lower ELO. The director will compute results using the ELO application from FIBS (First International Backgammon Site) at: http://home.nordnet.fr/~fhochede/ratings.shtml.
Go to the FIBS website and play with the application to get a feel for how ELO impacts the ladder. The ladder standings will be presented on the website.
